The introduction of this very new offline feature eliminates the need for the internet to read or respond to and also search Gmail messages. If somehow your Gmail access is linked up with your school or work account, the admin will need to change the settings. Beforehand Google marks that Gmail is only workable under offline mode in Google Chrome and only if you are browsing in normal mode, not incognito. Normal users don’t have to deal with such settings, and can simply follow the steps mentioned below:-
- Click on mail.google.com.
- Head towards the inbox, and click on Settings or the Cogwheel button.
- Click on the “See All Settings” option, then on the “Offline” tab.
- Then you will need to “Enable offline mail” checkbox.
- Now new Gmail settings will be shown, after that select the days of emails you want to sync with your Gmail.
- Now Google is going to show you the amount of space left on your computer, and also addressing an option to keep offline data on the computer also provides an option to vacate all offline data from the computer.
- Click on to “Save Changes” option and Gmail offline will be activated on your computer.
